There are quite economic rafting tours that begin at Glen Canyon Dam and drift on the Colorado River the 16 miles to Lee’s Ferry, Arizona where Glen Canyon officially ends and the Grand Canyon officially begins. The author so enjoys the serene trip that he has taken it three times. The following photographs are the “documentation” from those trips, and almost all were taken from the raft.

The San Xavier Mission is located about nine miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona. To get there from downtown Tucson take I-10 south to I-19 and exit at exit 92 west. The mission is about one mile from the exit on the west side of the highway.
Known as the “White Dove of the Desert,” it was built at a centuries-old Indian settlement of the Native Americans Tohono O'odham people (formerly known as Papago). In 1692 the Jesuit missionary Eusebio Francisco Kino, founded the mission as well as others in the Sonoran Desert chain. The original mission church was located about two miles away from the current mission and was vulnerable to Apache Indian attacks and was finally destroyed by them around 1770. and then check the lowest price immediately.
